It’s January 1st, but I feel none of the optimism I’d been expecting. Probably because taking down Christmas is so much more depressing that putting it up. Also, I hosted a dinner party last night, and one on Saturday night, too. It has been go, go, go and I am very happy to settle back down…
Today I can see perfectly with both eyes again! And no headache on the horizon:) So of course I am ready to dive back into my manuscript to make the changes for the Wild Rose Press editor. She wants a big cut, and she’s right about that. But it’s not as much as I thought.…
Finished! 75,000 words. I am fried. So glad it’s the weekend. And Al is away at NASCAR race. Gonna treat myself to girly things and regroup.
364 revised. Now ready for Act 3–the back end of the book. Everything here is pretty solid so I may be done much quicker than I thought, which is good, because I have a lot of work to do after I finish revising. I’ll have to read it again for continuity. I always mess up…
Yesterday I spent six hours cleaning up the mess in the middle of my WIP. Among ideas and scenes deleted: someone moves to another town, someone goes shopping, someone goes on a date. All of these scenes would have been fine if they’d moved the plot forward. But they didn’t so they had to go.…
