Gypsy Notebook

It was fun making the Gypsy notebook yesterday.  I have to wonder if getting out of the house and using another part of my brain to do something besides type with my hands had anything to do with doubling my new word count, up from 1000 yesterday to 2000 today! Only need 4000 more to meet my word goal. But revision is never as simple as that–when you add scenes, other stuff changes, so really, the whole book needs to be gone through. So I really can’t get too excited about the word count,  as I may have to cut some things later. But I am anyway. Happy Halloween!

So glad to see your group is enjoying “altered journals.” I started making them a couple of years ago, buying those plain composition notebooks and adding found objects and collage elements to their covers. I’ve given them as gifts to writer friends and family — and it’s so much fun to personalize them. They’re a quick and easy alternative to making altered books (which I also love).

Congrats on the good news with your book too, Cindy
