It has been a while since I released a book, and in that time so much has changed. I actually forgot to prepare. Totally focused on my weekend appearance at a big festival, I forgot the actual date, and only remembered it was before the big event.
Then my mom got very ill very quickly and I had to cancel the big event. I am on call right now to fly with my dad to my mother’s side. My dad is so anxious about my mom and he wants to be with her, not to mention all the business stuff as it seems she is not ever going home.
Meanwhile friends have been propping me up, especially my Sarasota writing group. Wendy gave me the name and contact info for her graphic artist who whipped up a few promotional items Saturday morning. I had tried to do something similar myself with no luck. I’m not even close to a graphic artist.
I did catch that typo and know it’s “series” not the other spelling. We had fixed it but somehow I uploaded this one. Because that’s how out of practice I am with this stuff. Also my mind is on other things. My mother in particular. I live a thousand miles from her and she’s in ICU and my dad is having dental surgery and I need to fill in our sons, who also live far away. We are a far-flung family. But we love each other and so right now they are my priority.
Maybe tomorrow I’ll find the corrected graphic. Or not.
