Love the Regency

I’m not going to market my recent novel in December. I did a few things, missed other opportunities, and decided to hire a pubicist in 2024. Oh and my son showed me how to update my new website 🙂 I took notes!

I’m currently revising an historical holiday novella (my first!) due February 2024. It’s finished, I just need to revise and polish. Today I think I finished the last of the research, which I love so much. Not as much as writing a first draft, or maybe it’s a tie.

Since I now own quite a Regency research library, and since I love the Regency era, I think it might be fun to just write historical novels from now on. (After I finish Jane 3). Why write Regencies? Life is changing so fast. It’s easier to go backward than try to keep up. And more delicious. Tea and cakes and lavish Christmas feasts were things I researched today.

Have you heard of quantum computing? What would Jane Austen say?!

I came upon this post (also unpublished!) written before my Christmas novel was published. Wow. That was a couple of years now. I actually don’t know how long I have been ill. I thought one year, then maybe five years, because that was when I began falling a lot, but this post was written before then. A medical mystery. Written here in postscripts from the blog.
